Pennsylvania is home to one of our largest terminals and the state where Shaffer Trucking was founded and its home to some of our major customers. Drivers from Pennsylvania can choose frequent home time on a dedicated fleet or drive on regional or national OTR fleets.

Salary: Top 50% average $90,518 per year

CPM: Starting pay $.60 to $.63 cpm

Experience: One-year verifiable tractor trailer experience with a class A CDL

Crete, Shaffer, and Hunt drivers are paid based on practical miles. This means drivers are paid for 3-5 percent more total miles per year than companies that pay based on short route miles. Another added incentive is that those practical miles roll in faster now that we’ve recently raised our governed truck speed to 68 MPH on the cruise and 65 MPH on the pedal. The most productive 50 percent of our Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking OTR drivers average more than $90,518 annually. That equates to over $1,740 weekly; $.60 to $.65 CPM. The top 50% of our Hunt Transportation drivers average $90,518 annually ($1,740 per week), with starting pay ranging from $0.63 to $0.66 per mile.
